Silk Screening

We met again on November 16th (this time at the Morgan residence) for an exciting opportunity to silk screen our own t-shirts.  Caitlin and her art teacher neighbor had a silk screening station set up and the boys got to make their own Daring Boys t-shirts.  Caitlin made a fabulous design with a wordle of parts of our code:

We are daring boys. We are curious and courageous, independent and cooperative, skillful and thoughtful. In the spirit of adventure and friendship, we dare to try new things that help us develop new abilities and improve upon our best qualities.

We had the boys work two at a time on the silk screening process and the others were split between wild physical playtime in the Morgan’s garage (complete with wall-to-wall gymnastics/marshall arts type mats, how cool is that?) and focused domino engineering challenges.

One of the Daring Baby Brothers in the garage... I didn't manage to capture the big boys in a picture. But what is this toddler doing on a skateboard?

We had a little time left over and so I introduced some of the boys to my grandfather’s paper box, a design they’ll learn more about in December.
